DLL’s reimagined workplace consolidates three floors onto a single level without reducing headcount or diluting its close-knit culture. IA paired unassigned seating with a broad range of work and wellness settings, giving the hybrid workforce greater choice while using nature, hospitality, and play to make the office worth the commute.

Hybrid Work Finds Rhythm
The concept draws on the Dutch practice of uitwaaien—stepping into fresh, windy weather to clear the mind. Meandering circulation evokes outdoor paths and leads employees toward greenery, daylight, and shared destinations. Biophilia shapes the plan, palette, lighting, architecture, graphics, and furniture, while organic forms and calm color reduce the scale of the contiguous floor plate. Illuminated ceiling coves wash exposed mechanical systems in white and blue, turning infrastructure into pattern. The design gives unassigned work a strong sense of place and makes movement restorative rather than merely functional, helping employees shift between focus, collaboration, and renewal throughout a hybrid day.

Wellbeing Expands the Workday
Residential cues support serious work without making the workplace feel institutional. The Hub gathers people around a communal dining table; the Clubhouse centers on a hearth and terrarium; and the concealed Proost speakeasy supports smaller after-hours conversations. A game room and mini-golf course create informal links between the building’s two wings. Huddle spaces, quiet rooms, lounges, a boardroom, and an immersive meditation room provide additional levels of privacy and energy. These settings protect DLL’s familial culture while allowing people to use the office more fluidly. The value is not amenity for its own sake, but a fuller ecosystem for performance, recovery, and belonging.
